RAVENSWOOD
Ravenswood feature brings visually stunning effect to an up and coming community. As the visitor moves around the piece, the moiré effect comes into play and interacts with the flock of ravens.
Our Approach
Heavy was brought on by Qualico Communities to execute a community identifying feature that serves as a gathering point for residents and visitors alike.
The Opportunity
Heavy leveraged our in-house design expertise to deliver 3 initial concept explorations. The final design Qualico selected was a play on the idea of representing ravens through a transparent screen.
The screens are made of modular perforated stainless steel paneling, layered to give a sense of depth. The end-result is a visually engaging feature that plays with the various densities of perforation, RBG backlighting and the colours of the natural environment that all come together in a flourish of interactivity.
