INVERTED LAKE

Envisioned by famed environmental artist and sculptor Ned Kahn, Heavy was brought on board to bring his vision to life.

Our Approach

Heavy was engaged by Daniel’s to work with environmental artist and sculptor Ned Khan to help combine form and function in their newest public artwork for the Daniel’s Waterfront project.

The Opportunity

Evolving out of concern that the plaza space would act as a wind tunnel, the original goal of the project was to provide a wind break while fully integrating with the development.

The idea by Ned Kahn was to create a kinetic canopy to not only mitigated the wind, but also foster a unique experience for the people below, creating a truly one of a kind experience for visitors and residents.
